Plant
?
- Plant: pick a crop on the right (search, what's in this plot, or your quick picks; the ✕ on a quick pick removes it, and + Add crop adds one), then click or drag across squares. An outline shows where it will go before you click: green if it fits, red if something is in the way. Plants that take several squares center on the pointer. Tick Replace what's there to plant over other crops.
- Select: click a plant for details and to log it as planted. Drag a plant to move it, or drag across empty squares to select an area, then fill, erase, or move the whole area. Hover over a plant for a quick summary. Erase: click or drag to clear.
- Pick: click a plant to plant more of it, like an eyedropper. Or hold Alt and click a plant while planting, or right-click it (press and hold on a phone) and choose Plant more of.
- Season: pick a month under the tools to plan that part of the year. A square can hold different crops at different times (spring lettuce, then summer beans).
- New to square-foot gardening? How it works, and how many plants go in each square.
- Shortcuts: P plant, S select, K pick, E erase, [ and ] step through plots. To remove one plant: click its ✕, right-click it, or focus it and press Delete. Arrow keys move between squares, Shift+arrows move a plant. Zoom with + and −, Ctrl+scroll, or pinch. Everything can be undone (Ctrl+Z).
